This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for design, tendering, and construction administration services for the Railway Crossing Improvements project, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The term of the contract is expected to commence in January 2024 and ends in December 2024. The City of Abbotsford is seeking to retain a Consultant to provide engineering services for Railway Crossing Improvements in Abbotsford, BC. In context, Transport Canada updated the Grade Crossing Regulations (GCR) to further incorporate standards based on engineering best practices which the Province has now adopted. As such, upgrades are required to selected railway crossings within the City. The Consultant will be responsible for providing detailed design, tendering, construction service and post-construction service on this project. |
