This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Curbside Waste Collection Composition Study.

The City of Abbotsford (City) is seeking a Consultant to complete three (3) waste composition studies for garbage, recycling, and compostables collected through the City’s Curbside Collection program that provides collection services to Serviced Properties. The results are intended to build on the City’s understanding of the composition of curbside-collected materials. This information will be used to identify opportunities for waste reduction and diversion, and direct efforts that support the City’s waste management objectives. The estimated period for the 2025 study is prior to October 2025. The remaining two studies will be completed in winter and spring of 2026. Please note that the proposed timing of the studies is tentative and will be mutually-agreed upon by the City and the Consultant.
