The City of Abbotsford (The City) is requesting proposals from professional, qualified and experienced teams with expertise in climate action (both mitigation and adaptation) planning, and the ability to co-develop and co-evaluate data related to climate risk and hazard assessment, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories and analysis, and engage stakeholders and community members in prioritization and implementation planning, including municipal financing and external funding sources.The resulting Climate Resilience Strategy, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”), will build on the low carbon resilience approach (as outlined at ACT, SFU). Proponents are encouraged to collaborate across adaptation and mitigation fields to submit Proposals (naming lead and sub-consultants) that achieve more integrated climate resilience and sustainability deliverables and outcomes for the Climate Resilience Strategy. Respondents may choose to submit recommended approaches to achieving desired outcomes that do not align with this scope of work, where experience and best practice justify.
