This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Abbotsford and Mission Curbside Recyclables Consolidation and Transfer Services, and Depot Services, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). Abbotsford is leading Abbotsford is leading this procurement process; however, the scope of work encompasses recycling processing and depot services for both the City of Abbotsford and the City of Mission (“Cities”). The Abbotsford Mission Recycling Depot (“AMRD”) currently operates as a pre-conditioning facility, jointly owned by the City of Abbotsford and City of Mission. As the pre-conditioning facility, AMRD receives and sorts all of Abbotsford and Mission residential curbside recyclables, as well as operating residential drop-off depots in both municipalities. The Cities are seeking a Qualified Proponent to provide Consolidation and Transfer services for Curbside Recyclables, and Recycling Depot Services.
